I wish I would have read the reviews on this company prior to purchasing. They are a bunch of scam artists that ship defective merchandise and then refuse to cover the cost of returning the merchandise.
I had a bad experience with a company also related to this company, ABC Office. Prior to purchasing from Office Zone I inquired if they were in any way related to ABC Office as I had a bad experience there and did not want to continue to fund a business with these poor practices. I was insured by Mr. Evan Major of Office Zone that he did not know Mr. Stinson (who this poor experience was with), and that they were a separate company. I was satisfied with this and I purchased a laminator from them in February. It was delivered two weeks later.
Upon opening the package, I noted that the interior box was dented (it was not a result of shipping), the unit itself was warped, and when plugged in it emitted black smoke. The manual that came with it was torn and had pen markings. Clearly this unit was used and had been returned. They did not inspect it prior to shipping it to me.
I informed them immediately of the issue. I noted clearly that the issue was in that they shipped a defective and used unit. Two days later, UPS inquired about picking up the damaged package. Upon speaking with their courier, I learned that Office Zone had noted the item was damaged as a result of the shipping practices of UPS. I opened up the package for him and demonstrated that the unit was not damaged by UPS, it was as a result of Office Zone shipping defective merchandise. The UPS man said that Office Zone had lied in their claim to them, and that Office Zone would have to send in a new request for pick-up AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE. I notified Office Zone of this and they still have not provided a response.
I have been sending emails since and have received no response. The last email I sent, I received an auto response from Mr. Evan Major that said he would be away from the office from March 8-12 and that all inquiries could be sent to Mr. Kevin Stinson, of ABC OFFICE!!! So not only has he disregarded my requests for return, and absolutely refused to provide a refund, lied, to UPS to save themselves money, Their own representative lied about his affiliates in order to garner the sale.
At this point I have no other option as my emails are not receiving a response and I have nothing to show for the $230.00 I spent on the unit plus an additional $60 in brokerage fees on an item that was SHIPPED OUT DEFECTIVE.
I also had a pending order with ABC Office that I was informed was backordered and would be so for about a week. I asked if I could add an item to this order - and they said I needed to place a new order to do so. I noted that the item I wanted to add to my order was only $9, and their order minimum was $35, and I didn't have an additional $26 of items I wanted. They REFUSED to add it on to my order... Greedy greedy!
After not hearing back from them in over a week, I moved to cancel the order. At this time, I was informed the order had conveniently shipped - that morning. I told them they could still re-route the package back to themselves and they refused to do so. I informed them that I would be refusing the package anyways, so they might as well attempt to recoupe it anyways. They informed me that I had to pay re-stocking fees, shipping fees, etc. They claim that they owe me $0.36 for a package I ordered and paid nearly $100 for. Get this - the package never was delivered. Someone from their office contacted UPS and stopped the package - just prior to it being delivered. What a bunch of frauds!
