I went into a local store and filled an application with MCI to get a cell phone. I was told that I was eligble for 3 lines. Not thinking at the moment, I got two of the lines, one for me and one for a friend.
My phone was okay... I never had high bills but comes to find out, she did. She was calling all over the continent and the bills were always over $200. I purchased them in December and I requested that her phone be cut off in April. They told me that it would so I thought nothing of it. I called it days later and it still was on.
I called back about a week and a half later and requested that it would be cut off again. I called the number again, it was still on!!! I kept trying to reach them and I finally got through and spoke with someone one and they told me they only had a high bill for my cell phone number. They sent me to the collection department and they couldn't even tell me the amount of minutes I used nor the amount the bill was.
MCI never actually cut the phone off until July and the phone had been billed an extra $2000 for it! To this day... They expect me to pay them $8000. They're crazy!!! I even tried to contact someone through the website and they still haven't contacted me. I am not paying them anything!!! MCI is such a rip-off, they try to find any way to get extra money from you. The way to avoid this is to never deal with them at all!!!
