I placed an on-line order with A&M Photo World for a digital camera at the listed price of $269. I received an e-mail notifying me to contact them in order to complete the transaction at which time a salesman offered me some "Today Only" specials for accessories.
When the items were delivered, the accessories where not as described and I was charged more than what I was quoted by the salesman. When I contacted Customer Service, the guy inferred that I was lying as there was no way that his salesman would offer such a low price. I researched other vendors and found that the case that I was charged $49 for was obtainable for under $10 at most everywhere I checked.
They also added $10 to the price of the camera as it was a "US" model without me knowing as it wasn't stated any where. I could have gone to another vendor at that price! He then offered me some "cash back" but due to the "over pricing" the amount offered was less than half of what I was charged. Also, the accessories were not as described and in my opinion, junk!
When I requested a RMA, I was told that I'd have to pay a restocking fee as well as lose the $30 S/H to which I argued and atleast got told there would be no restocking fee... I've lost $30 and time due to fraudulent sales actions!
