I called a month before changing services and asked about the contract fees and if I was done with my two year agreement. They told me it was over and I can cancel all three lines without any fees for terminating. After porting my two lines to AT&T and canceling the last line I received my last bill. To my surprise it had $100 in fees for canceling my contract and $50 in web fees. They said I canceled four days early. I called customer service where they were very rude to be and transferred me for over an hour between departments. I called back two days later and explained that there was no incentive to pay my bill because it was all unfair, she transferred me to a supervisor after I requested it. The supervisor hung up on me and did nothing for me at all. I had them for 6 years or longer and only after I cancel I got no respect for giving them thousands of dollars in business. $150 of unfair charges is what you can expect with a company like t mobile. I probably won't send them a check until they either take the fees off or they sell my bill to a debt collector and I know for sure they are not getting my money that they decided to tack on. That sounds more fair to me.
