Been with Verizon wireless for many years, After adding my sons to the plan the older one said he would rather try texting to save money on calls, Verizon suggested I start him out on the $5.00 a month extra texting plan. After a few months a was surprised to see a large bill for texting a few months later. I called them and said I did not want this to happen again. The rep suggested that I kick him up to the $15.00 a month extra plan, I believe I was told this would give him up to 5,000 text messages a month. I also requested that I be notified if it every when over so I could turn this off.
Well this is several months later and now a bill of over $500.00 I was never notified like Verizon promised me (nor was my son that he went over. And no this was not 5,000 text like I was led to believe, but only 1,500 text that was allowed.
They told me that I did not have the notification turned on to warn me (conveniently for them) I asked if I paid for the unlimited plan would they remove this from the bill since they did not inform me as they had promised. Answer we will gladly take your money for the upgrade but you still will need to pay the bill. I asked for a Manager, was only given a supervisor who apparently had to authority to solve my problem.
