My son won't be receiving the Sony digital camera he wanted for Christmas because of the ineptitude at American West Digital.
On Nov. 23rd I ordered a Sony camera from American West Digital. A week and half later I checked on the status of my order and the online order tracker said my order was "pending". After several phone calls and emails went unanswered I reached a sales representative at American Digital on Dec. 10th. I was assured that my order was confirmed, that they had the merchandise in stock and shipping would occur in the next day or two. I also asked if I would be sent a confirmation. "Yes, of course", was the reply.
However, three days later I made another set of phone calls and emails only to be told the camera was not in stock but I could purchase a different model for several hundred dollars more. I declined and asked to have my order canceled. American West once again assurred me my credit card would not be charged. This morning my card was charged $362 even though no merchandise was ever shipped.
