re: Fry's Outpost.
I saw a item for sale, on the Internet item Outpost# 3971618 (Eureka R4495 Refurbished bagless Upright Vacuum. Price $39.99 (on 03-25-04) I got a print out and headed to the Frys Outpost here by me in San Marcos, California. I went to the Department with it, showed them the print out. I then took the item to the checkout, They told me, the manager, or supervisor told me:
That I could only buy it online only, and I must pay shipping charges, and I could not take it home with me. He then qutoed me $30 for shipping, yet I had it with me at the counter. The store refused to let me purchse it for the price advertised, unless I paid $30 for shipping.
After that insane arguemnet, I went back home and looked it up again. The website will only let me buy it if I pay the cheapest rate of $17 for shipping.
Please tell me, with a good reason, and consumer law why I could not have taken it home with me, why am I having to pay shipping charges for an item I took to the register. I do not see anywhere ont he website that say I could not go puchase it and take it home.
