My phone was stolen at, or around 5;30-6-30pm on May 10. Upon contacting Assurance Wireless, I spoke with a young lady, who gave her name as Maria, who told me there was a three dollar, 3.99 fed ex shipping charge for a replacement phone. After not understanding what Maria was talking about due to a language barrier, I ask to speak to a supervisor. Upon speaking to a supervisor who gave her name as Laura, told me there would a 10.00 charge. Upon the contradiction of what I was told between the two women, I ask them how do you expect people on a fixed income, foodstamps, or whatever you all require, to pay for these charges? I was told by Maria, as well as Laura, her supervisor, they needed a charge card, debit card, or buy a $10.00 prepaid card. Before they would even attempt to replace my phone. I Fisrt had to pay for a shipping and handling charge. My conversation between the two women can go on forever. This is not what you think you are getting. The mins. Do not roll over, where with
SafeLink they do. Buyer beware. This is to me fraud, as well as misleading.
