We purchased several of the Reecom R-1630 and R-1650 that failed when they were first opened up and used. One would not power up. Another failed to provide life saving alerts. A couple of others had no radio reception. This is unacceptable for a safety tool.
When we contacted the company, Reecom, they informed us they could not be returned. There return policy prohibited units that were opened from being returned. What? Who ever heard of a return policy that is that restrictive. If you call, no one answers the phone. Don't take my word for it, read their return policy:
"Reecom Electronics, Inc. Offers a 10-day return policy on all products. All returns should be requested by e-mail: [email protected] or over the phone at (770) 641-9228 for the approval from customer service representative. Returns must be in new, unused condition, complete with original packing, product manuals, and a photocopy of your sales receipt or other proof of purchase from Reecom Electronics, Inc.
