Received Samsung 40" LCD TV from Electronics Expo (through Amazon.com) on 3/23. TV was defective - no picture at all. Called Electronics Expo to obtain RMA# to return TV, but they refused, saying they will not accept returns of TV's over 20" and that I would have to contact Samsung for warranty service instead (which takes weeks to resolve).
I was shocked that any company would refuse to accept a return of defective merchandise within 30 days. Their return policy clearly states that defective items can be returned within 30 days. The policy does say that TV's over 20" do not qualify for the provision for returning new unwanted, unopened items within 14 days, but that restriction clearly does not apply to opened and defective items.
Furthermore, Amazon.com refused to honor their A-Z Guarantee which is supposed to provide for returns of defective items whenever the seller does not, but that is another story.
Be warned. Electronics Expo does not honor their return policy for defective TV's over 20".
