I am, soon not to be, a brand new customer with ATT after changing over and being a T-Mobile customer for 10 years. I'm not a tech-type person and tend not to changes things if it works. This would only be the 3rd phone I've had had in 10 yrs.
AT&T's predatory phone sales reps are horrible and very deceptive by taking advantage of uninformed consumers and not offing the best products for them. They just wish to get their commission and move out obsolete inventory. Not to mention lying, saying certain phones are not available, sending and charging for products that were not ordered, and then to top it off, short-shipping the order.

AT&T'S customer service dept is the worst experience I've ever had. They repeatedly lied about policy and disconnected the phone calls (hung up on me) after I requested to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with 5 different reps one one day for over 3hrs, all terrible experiences. Every rep contradicted the other and none solved my problem. One said she would send the new phones, started the order and hung up. When I called back, the new phone rep said the other was wrong. Wtf. When I had to call back again, another said the phones could not be returned nor a refund given even when I cancel the contract, attempting to force me into to keeping the contract and the phones. These strong arm tactics are deplorable coming from such an established corporation. Their reps had an aura of programming/fascism about them, they could not think or make logical decisions for themselves. They were just hiding behind, and quoting policy. Just following orders sir.

ATT reps told me to cancel my service and start a new one with ATT, or go back to T-Mobile. ATT Reps actually told me, on several occasions, over 2 days and numerous hours of hold/disconnect/call back, to cancel the contract with them. Some were apologetic and that what happened to me was not fair nor right, but there was nothing they could do because of policy. Policy be damned. ATT doesn't care about right and wrong. And this is after paying $425 for 2 phones/rubber cases and I was going to have a 2 yr plan at $160 a month, most likely a $190 plan, now that I've been informed that 200mb is nothing, and that 2 G will be needed, and maybe more G's after that$... No unlimited data phones with ATT.

I am a District Manager for a national retail organization, with 7 stores, over 40 employees and I have thousands of customer we see repeatedly on a weekly basis.
All my employees, fellow District managers from Boston to Connecticut and thousands of my customers will all be informed of how poor your service is, your predatory sales practices, and repeated lying by customers service reps.
I will surely make it my personal mission and vendetta to inform every one I come in contact with of how terrible ATT is, and how T-Mobile is so much better and cares about their customers.
I look forward to going back with T-Mobile, their great customer service and their unlimited date plans.
