In July one of my 2 receivers suddenly quit working so I called and requested a replacement. We set an appointment for someone to come out the next day between 8am and noon and at approximately 1pm called to find out where they were. At this point we were informed there had been no appointment set, that out new receiver would be shipped UPS along with a prepaid return shipping label.
A few days later we received our new receiver and promptly used the return label to send back the broken one.in October my service was disconnected, DISH said, because I had not returned my equipment and with this was a $200 fee. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told I cannot speak to management until my bill is paid! After about a dozen phone calls, I finally got a woman named Cheryl who said she understood my situation, removed the fee and turned my service back on.
Now it is January and today I received a notice that my receiver still had not been returned and in 7 days my bank account will be charged $200 for the equipment. Again, I called DISH. After being put on hold several times, again escalating through management, and more than 1 hour later, I was finally put through to corporate resolutions (I think that is what they called it). Within minutes, they located the missing receiver, in their warehouse of course, and verified that it had been returned in July.
Six months, to verify that I am not a lying scumbag trying to steal broken equipment?!?!?! They kept telling me to call UPS, the only problem was that I was too dumb to write down the tracking number for the return label THEY sent me!
A serious warning to anyone considering DISH Network... DON'T! They will do anything in their power to screw you... Legally!
