The sales rep at Walmart said no early disconnection fee would be charged if you move to an area where no cingular service is available. I moved to such an area but the Cingular company said they have no control over what their sales reps say. They refused to do an investigation or to remove the $150 early disconnect charge.
In addition, they did not stop my phone service because the $150 had not been received by them the day I ask them to disconnect. Of course no one informed me of this policy. They left the phone service on without me knowing for two months at my expense.
