On September 22 I purchased a new Acer Inspire 5810 Timeline Laptop computer. This after I returned the same model purchased 2 days earlier because of "dead pixels."
When I opened the sealed carton, all that was contained were 2 pieces of wood and a Dvd drive together with some plastic cylinders where the power cord should have been, but no computer!
I immediately called Walmart and spoke with Loss Prevention, a person by the name of Keshia, and the Assistant Manager, Stacey. They asked me for SN# and other info from the receipt and told me they would investigate. I told them I was bringing the item back right away. When I arrived and showed them what I bought, they Stacey and Keshia said they would "investigate" and get back to me. I asked them to refund my money or give me a computer while their investigation was ongoing and the refused.
I left the item with them and Stacey promised to call me back last night - which she did not.
Someone went to a lot of trouble to rip me off because the carton was sealed and had the approximate weight of a laptop. Has anyone else had a similar experience? What is the best way to either get a refund or another computer? This is so obvious that I cannot believe Walmart did not handle this in the right way when I reported it.
Any help will be apppreciated.
