Repair not covered under warranty

I bought a-mini laptop for my child. It was a acer item. He took it to get more memory place in it and basics smashed a few of the videos. I understood acer wouldn't protect under the warranty and just wanted to get it fixed. I settled $398.00 for your computer. They wanted to charge me $440.00 to correct it. I told them are you crazy. I told them i'd never buy another product from their website. I told them i work on walmart and that i can tell all customers not to buy a acer
