Shopxml.com portablecomponents.com Dirty Rotten Scoundrels!?!

The AC Adapter on my laptop died and I needed another one quick. Went to the manufacturer's website and input my laptop info and obtained the part number and price. It was over a hundred bucks so I decided to shop around.
Googled the part number and the first site listed was mobilepowersupply.com. I went to their site and started searching for the part "By Brand" and found the same part number listed as listed on the manufacturer's site, but it was substantially less expensive. Double checked the part number and and ordered away.
So the big day comes and I'm finally going to reunite the laptop's very dead battery with the ac adapter. I opened the box, grabbed the cords and went to plug it in... It didn't fit. My initial thought was that I had ordered the wrong part, so I checked the part number listed on the back of the adapter and confirmed that it was not the part number ordered. I ordered PA3467U-1ACA and received PA3467E-1AC3.
I was a little bummed as I was wanting to get on this particular laptop, but I have a zillion computers so it's not like I'm out of commission. Called the folks at Mobilepowersupply the following day and immediately knew it was going to be a hassle, even though their site proudly displays a "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" banner. The CSR had an attitude and when told that they had shipped the wrong part number, she immediately stated that I had ordered the wrong part for my laptop. Keep in mind, she din't know the laptop make or model as their site doesn't request this information and was clearly lying to me. Asked to speak to a manager and was conveniently disconnected.
Call number 2. The next CSR knew I had called previously and immediately stated that the part had been subsituted with a simlar part. She started asking about my laptop make and model and kept insisting that the part I ordered (but didn't receive) would not have worked either. I finally got to their manager, Satan's daughter, and was told that the part I ordered would not have worked either. I know this must be very annoying to read (if your still following) and its even worse to hear. I was sooo tired of talking to satan's daughter, also know as Alexis, and told her I just wanted to return the freakin thing and noted their 100% satisfaction guaranteed banner. She got ever meaner and said she would mail me the return information.
Call number 3. Never received the information so I called to follow up about a week later. Went through all the above again before being connected to satan's daughter. She went on to tell me it had been emailed that day and my junk mail must have caught it. Yet another lie and their "turn the table" approach to customer service was becoming very clear. Finally got her to send the return info (it came from another domain name — these guys operate under several aliases) and realized they were making me pay the shipping. When asked why I had to pay the shipping, she went through all the above yet again. Now I know why the don't have a toll free number...
At any rate, that's the kind of service you can count on from Mobilepowersupply.com, portablecomponents.com and shopxml.com. I've since ordered and rec'd the adapter from the manufacturer. Seriously doubt that Mobilepowersupply.com will refund the money even after receiving the part back and suspect I'll have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Sheez, I so wish I'd never heard of them.
