I sent my Ipod Touch to DigiExpress for diagnosis and repair. First they told me it needed a new LCD and battery which I purchased and sent to them. After a long wait of hearing nothing I called but only got voicemail each time. So, I emailed them. Then I was tod my ipod was awaiting diagnosis.
They sent me an email after the replacing the battery and LCD screen saying that the ipod is not working after replacing these parts and I now need a main electronics board. What are they doing? It seem they replace one part at a time to see if it fixes the problem, instead of actually diagnosing the problem. This is costly to the customer. Sadly in the end your ipod still doesn't work and Digiexpress won't return it to you.
This is the last email I received from this company.

Our repair technician has determined that you will need the following items to complete the repair:
Main electronics board
Unfortunately there is no way to cost effectively repair or replace a main board in an iPod touch, the cost of parts exceeds the value of the iPod. We will install the glass & digitizer upon your request although the itouch will not work properly with just this part & ship it back to you.

After this email, I asked them to send back everything to me. It has been 2 weeks and no sign of my Ipod. Don't send your Ipod to DigiExpress if you want your Ipod repaired and returned to you.
