I will keep this short because I have spent 2 FULL days on this.
Installed MagicJack on my main workstation, Didn't go in as simply as they say it will. Had to install an " UPDATE" then it worked just GREAT... BUT WAIT!!!
When I re-booted my machine I get multiple Illegal dll relocation errors and a user32. Ll error and cd dll error.
Long story short not knowing it was the Magic jack I spent HOURS on Microsoft phone support to no avail (very GOOOOD support at MS for sure) Then I just gave up and I am now in the middle of a reformat and reinstall of the OS so I can WORK again.
NEXT MORNING I need a phone right? So I install the Magic Jack on my LAPTOP and WALA SAME ERRORS.
I spend the ENTIRE morning on the worst chat support service on the PLANET doing the SAME things Over and over and over again. Even when I am transferred to " Higher " techs it is like a nightmare of Ground hog day because they ALL want to troubleshoot the MAGICJACK! 100 times I have to tell them it is working fine IT IS MY PC that is now BROKEN because of YOUR PRODUCTS INSTALL.
I actually had to ask if these we PEOPLE I was talking to because they never paid ANY attention to what I told them and just asked the same questions over and over and over again.
OK so it is three HOURS on this chat and I have to go, I need to go get a new HD for the other PC that they broke with their horrible software because if I have to totally rebuild the OS I want it on a clean HD. SO THIS useless " tech" tells me to ask for "her" when I get back... Ok now THAT was impossible and I had to go through 3 people AGAIN!!!
SO The LAST person finally bluntly says " Since the magicJack is working you need to try and find a computer tech to fix your PC" I almost shaat myself.
"we only have to make the Magic Jack work the rest is not our responsibility"
I was stunnnnned!
They ended the chat on that note. 2 PCs down, they have my cash and they can care less.
SO If you take your car in for TIRES and they BLOW UP YOUR ENGINE racing it into the stall they can simply put new tires on your wreck and claim job well done!
I am ready willing and able to take part in ANY class action against this company.
OH IGNORE these POSITIVE reviews for this company. Do you SERIOUSLY think a company that does business like THIS is above posting its own POSITIVE reports? Think about that.
STAY AWAY FROM MAGICJACK. They will leave you alone and broken.
I did save the entire last 2 chats and will keep them for anyone who wants to take action.
