Please beware of AuctionInn on Ebay. They sell used electronics amongst other things on consignment.in my case I bought an item that was marked as follows:
Condition: Good physical condition with normal signs of wear from use. Does not include remote.
Testing: Powers on; no further testing done. Comes from a working environment.
Now reading that I would guess that most of you would assume the device works. Further to that there is a picture of the display that reads "Standby".
When I received the unit it did power on but it never displays the words "Standby" it just displays "Booting" and just stays there hung up.
It obviusly does not work.
When I asked for a refund or exchange they said the following:

Hello,
We are sorry for the issues you are having but, this item, is sold as is and we are unable to issue a replacement.

As you can see they hang their hats on this little disclaimer they have near the bottom left hand of their ebay store that says:

The items being sold in this listing are sold "as is". Auction inn warranties and represents only that the goods are as they are described in the above listing. We will accept returns of the goods only if they fail to meet the descriptions above. Auction inn specifically disclaims any implied warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
What this says though is, we will describe and sell anything we want and if it doesn't work Oh well.
Now that being said, it is clear that they went to a bit of trouble turning this on, copying and pasting all of the Tech Specs taking a picture of the display (which as it turns out was not the actual display) for this and creating an ebay ad knowing it doesn't really work then just printing the words " Powered On" "Comes from a working Envirnoment" deceiving (Knowingly or unknowingly) potential buys wit the bailout being their scam little disclaimer. As most of you know almost all electronics on Ebay that are not working say in the ad TAG LINE itself AS-IS meaning its broke and we know it and we want you to know so we will put it out front. AuctionIn obviously didn't do that and since they have a 99.5 % rating they figure they will just bury my bad rating in amongst the 14,000 good ratings and hope they never lose a sale beacuse of it. We sold this item "as is", no condition guarenteed. He bought 3, one was bad.
In answering my question misled me into believeing the unit (JUNK) is working

Next Time Auction in, make it clear that it is an as is for Parts Only item like everyone else does. Saying " Powers on... Comes from a working Environment" is deceptive to say the least.
Remember: Items that work, come from a working environment.
I have some land in Florida I'd like to sell also, wink wink.
