Yesterday, January 24, I went to Wal Mart to purchase groceries and an iPod Classic. The employee in the electronics department had to get a set of keys to unlock the case where the iPod was stored. He pulled the iPod box out, still shrink wrapped. I finished my shopping and drove the 2 miles home.

When I got home I unloaded my groceries and took the iPod out of the bag, pulled the plastic wrap off of it and opened the box.instead of an iPod Classic, the only thing in the box was a stack of magnets and the instruction manual, no headphones, iPod or USB cable.
I immediately returned to WalMart to the Customer Service desk. I told the employee what had happened and she disappeared for a few minutes. She returned with an Assistant Manager named Boris. His response was an agressive, "do you expect me to believe that?" He wouldn't give me a chance to find out who I needed to talk to just that I could come back on Monday at 8am to talk to the store manager.

After my encounter with "Boris (don't know his last name)" I went outside and called the number on the receipt. I spoke with another assistant manager who came down and met with me and took my side of the story and made a copy of my receipt. She asked that I come back in Monday at 8am.

Since then I have contacted my CC company to file a dispute and have also attempted to contact Apple directly, but they aren't open until 8am PST on Monday. Once I speak to all parties on Monday I will update my usacomplaints.com.
