We purchased a phone from LL Cellular on 4/19/08. We received the phone, it was not as advertised and did not work properly.
We shipped it back to LL Cellular on 4/29/08. LL Cellular shipped us a second phone to replace the first on 5/9/08. This phone did not work properly, either.
We maintained communication with the seller who subsequently sent us a new battery for the phone. That did not solve the problem. They then shipped us a new charger. That did not solve the issue.
We shipped all items back on 6/4/08. We asked for a refund.instead of a refund, LL Cellular shipped a third phone.
Upon opening the package, we determined (via scratches and markings) that they had shipped us the exact same phone we had just returned. This time it was shipped without a battery.
We shipped the phone back on 6/18/08. We once again communicated via email and telephone and a letter included in the return package that we wanted our money refunded.
They gave us the same story as another person on this site has reported: That it would take up to 30 days to process the refund.
Since that time, LL Cellular/5 Star Cellular has refused our phone calls, hung up on us, or placed us on hold until the call times out. They have both their product and our money.
Because they deliberately strung us along, we missed the dispute period for eBay and PayPal. We have filed complaints anyway because even if we can't get our money back there is a record against the company.
Avoid this company at ALL cost.
