I placed the order with Gear Tronix for Behringer 500-Watt 12-Channel Powered Mixer PMP1000 on Amazon.com.
On June, 3 my order was delivered and on June 9 I had a chance to test it.
Behringer Mixer Effects module failed to operate.
On June 8 I contacted Gear Tronix by e-mail and followed by phone call on June 9 to notify the seller, that Behringer 500-Watt 12-Channel
Powered Mixer PMP1000 sold to me was defective.
Customer service representative recommended to ship the defective unit back to Gear Tronix and promised to speed up delivery of the replacement unit.
Defective Behringer 500-Watt 12-Channel Powered Mixer PMP1000 was sent back to Gear Tronics by UPS with a cost out of my pocket of $56.00
On June 10 I contacted Gear Tronix office over the phone again, at this time Allen from Customer service promised that the replacement unit will be shipped on the same day of June 10.
Defective Unit was delivered to Gear Tronics by UPS on June 11 at 10:33 AM.
Wen I did not receive any phone call or e-mail from Gear Tronix verifying shipment, I contacted them for the third time on June 11 at 10:45 AM.
Allen from customer service reassured me that the replacement unit has been already shipped and again promised to call me back with a tracking number.
At 04:00 PM I called Gear Tronix again and Allen definitely promised to get back to me by the end of the day with shipping information.
And again he never did.
On June 14 The replacement Beringer Power mixer sent to me by Gear Tronix was used, scratched on the control panel and non fully functional.
This unit was shipped back to Gear Tronix as well.
With a help and assistance from Amazon.com the seller agreed to issue the refund for this transaction, but instead of full purchase amount of $280.00 the refund amount was $199.42.
The refund of $199.42 from GT does not reflect the proper amount for my order 102-7704920-8357860 and here is the reason why:
1. On June 3 New Behringer 500-Watt 12-Channel Powered Mixer PMP1000 was delivered from GT, as tested Effects module of the unit failed to operate. Unit was shipped back to GT with a cost out of my packet of $56.00. (I believe the cost of shipping to and from my address should be covered by seller due to item be defective. Receipt for return shipping is available)
2. On June 14 The Beringer Power mixer sent to me by GT as a replacement for original new non working unit was used, scratched on the control panel and non fully functional. (Pictures taken from the unit up on delivery are available. I also believe that the cost of shipment of the used item both ways should be covered by GT - Product ordered suppose to be NEW).
3. The seller failed to supply new working unit with two attempts, this caused great degree of inconvenience and unexpected financial spending, therefore the restocking fee of 15% charged illegally and should be reimbursed.
Based on all of the above full purchase amount of $280.00 $56.00 for initial return shipment should be refunded back to my credit card.
