I purchased an RCA 42 inch LCD HDTV from Walmart on 2/23/08. The remote control did not work straight out of the box. I called RCA customer service number, which by the way you are calling the Phillipines, told them the problem and they asked for the tv model number. I gave them the model number that was on the tv, box, paperwork. They told me they did not have that model number on file so the tv cant possibly be from RCA. I faxed them pics, copies of receipt, model number stickers, everything. I heard nothing back from them.
I spent the next few weeks making call after call. The customer service person hung up on me when I asked to speak with a supervisor!
Finally, 3 weeks ago, they told me they updated their system and found my tv model number. They said it was the newest tv they were making and thats why they didnt have it. They said they were sending me a new remote by way of Fed Ex and it would be here in 7 to 10 days. 3 weeks later no remote. I called again today and they said they could not give me any info and someone would call me back.
Im still waiting!!!
