Bought a 40" Sony Tv with no interest until 2010. Was told by representative from Circuit City one month before purchasing new tv that the balances on the Circuit City Credit card would be paid first.
Today the first bill arrived, the payment sent was applied to the new tv which is only 4 weeks old, and the balance on D purchase was never deducted. When I called them to find out what happened, they said the C purchase would be paid first. That was not what I was told before purchasing the new TV by both Chase as well as by Circuit City. Now they both basically say that I am screwed. If I want to return the new tv I have to pay for packaging fees as well as transportation fees. I seemed to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. Spoke with Supervisor named Ed something or other at Chase, and he could have cared less.
Circuit City states that they have no control over Chase. So much for customer service. Do you wonder why Circuit City is doing so badly.
