Portable Dvd Battery does not charge, with either the AC adapter or car charger, phone# does not work

Portable Dvd got for my daughter for xmas does not charge either with the ac adapter or car charger. Durabrand i have tryed the number on back of the dvd player. Of course it is out of service and email address does not work either, so now I, am out of 85. Dolllars and my daughter is out of a portable DVD player. L
