I've just bought this playskool gps emergency tracker from spot inc. The item must not!!! I repeat must not be an item a person depends on in an emergency setting!!! It is like a toy. Slow response time, inaccurate gps coordinates if any, ambiguous jargon by spot reps who try to convince you that the 911 button goes to some legitimate organization, absolutely horrid customer service people who basically tell you that you're problems with this horrid toy is "none of my business." no kidding!!! She actually told me that!
On top of all this, there is no indication that on the sign up web page that you can not receive your money back!!! I called this rep up to cancel my $107 membership after 5 minutes of using this playskool toy of an emergency companion, and she told me i can't cancel it. She told me that if i read the contract carefully, then i'd find out that there is no money back policy. The contract is 5 pages long, and it is on the web page right before you click ok to go to the activation screen. The no money back policy must be clearly stated before i give out my cc information!!!
I'm basically stuck with the membership for a year even after i return it to the store from which i bought it!!! And the rep. Was rude to me and would not answer straight questions about spot inc. Such as, "how long have you guys been in business?" "do you guys see more information than what i see on my webpage about my account?"
Spot inc. Is not practicing sound business practices, and i'm beginning to conclude that they are acting like crooks.
