Without a doubt, DirecTv really does have the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. They outright lie.
I had an appointment scheduled to have another room connected to my service and no one showed up. When I called (after 45 mins hold time) I was advised that they have no idea why no one showed up. They told me I would receive $100. As a "no-show" guarantee. The next appt. They could give me would be 2 months later. I had to make several calls which took no less than 2 hours to get a sooner appt.
Needless to say, the check for $100. Never came, and that took another 2 hours of wasted time making phone calls. Eventually, it came.
When I called to inquire about upgrading my box to DVR, I was told there was a "special" and that I wouldn't have to pay the $99.00 charge for it. Naturally, they charged me anyway, and when I called about it, I was told that I was mistaken-no one would have told me that since there is no such "special". So not only did they lie to me, but then accused me of lying.
I think it's time to switch back to cable o
