Mr. Rojas operates a web based business which specializes in home alarm systems. One of the services he claims to provide is an "unlocking" services for alarm system boards.
After contacting Mr Rojas on 10/25/07, I was assured he could unlock a Paradox Spectra alarm board and return it by mail in 7-10 days. It is now 01/17/08 and the board has still not been returned. A general sequence of the events follows:
(10/25/07) - Assured via telephone conversation board would be unlocked and returned in 7-10 days.
(10/26/07) - Paradox Spectra board and payment mailed via USPS Insured Mail to Jim Rojas, 8002 Cornwall Lane, Tampa, FL.
(11/02/07) - Check payment cashed by Jim Rojas.
(Approx 11/16/07 to 12/16/07) - Mr. Rojas informed me via several telephone conversations, that a keypad needed to be located to unlock board and they were looking for it.
(Approx 12/16/07 to 12/24/07) - Mr Rojas says during several more phone conversations that board is unlocked and ready to ship.
(Approx 12/24/07 to 01/06/08) - Mr Rojas now claims in conversations that board has shipped.
(Approx 01/06/08 to 01/14/08) - Mr Rojas still claims the board has shipped and adds that every shipment he sends out has a tracking number. He assures me he will email me the number when he finds it.
(Approx 01/14/08 to Present) - Mr Rojas assures me board was shipped 01/05/08 but does not have a tracking number. Still no board.
After nearly 3 months of waiting for my board to be returned, Mr Rojas has made it clear that his claims cannot be trusted.in addition to taking my money, he has not returned my property. Replacing this board will require significant labor and expense on my part. Afer finding other similar complaints on the web, it is clear that he is running a fraudulent business.
