What happened to me after being an ATT customer for 2 years, is that I placed an order for 2 phones on this service for christmas... I had 1 for about 4 days and decided to keep the other... The one I sent back I called the company and cancelled the phone... I made 1 local call on the phone to my home to test and sent 2 text messages... 2 weeks later in the mail I get a bill for the phone for 79.91... The lady on the phone was nice enough to drop some charges but pro rated me to 47.22.. This included an activation fee!
Now I have An original phone that I have had with them forn 2 years, and decided to get another... So currently I have 2 phones not including the one I had sent back... Do you think they would give me a break? Na so I told them to bill me for the 47.00 and I said I will just make payment on the phone. Bought tho phone online, and thementioned noyhing about this...
So I asked the lady if I placed an order for one, and never opened the box would I be charged for this she said yes... I think this is a legitimate ripoff, seriously even after being a customer for 2 years...
CAVEAT EMPTOR Let the buyer beware of this scam... They have no signatures on anything and I don't see how it can be a legal binding contract...
And if you don't pay them, it goes to collections! And we all know what happens...
They have a fine phone service in my opinion, but this is legal fleecing...
