When I placed my order I had to ask about the rebate otherwise I would not have received any information. The manner and tone of the information I receieved made me suspect. I was only told I would be sent the rebate information. After receiving my TV, my rebate information came a week or more later. It took about 4 days to get tech support in setting up the set. I kept the packing and discarded the box as I was happy with the product. Storage is a premium. I called about the rebate and was then told I had to get the UPC codes of the orginal carton. I called customer service and was told I would not get my rebate without the UPC codes. I explained I was never told about the basic requirement and asked if they could assist me with this problem. Absoutley no way to get my rebate with out the UPC codes. I feel shopnbc engaged in selfserving deceptive and fraudlent busisness practice. Given the basic necessary requirement, SHNBC should make every effort to be clear to it's customers. This whole rebate issue had a smell to it from the beginning. I was bale to reterive the box from the trash and am going to return the set because of the apparent bad faith dealing.
