In Nov. 2001 I had purchased A Sony Vaio Computer From Best Buy That Had A $250.00 Rebate Offer. ($150. From Sony And $100. From Best Buy. I Mailed The Barcodes To Best Buy As Required Only To Have Them Mailed Back To Me And Having Purchased Over $4,000.00 Worth Of Merchendise From Best Buy Just In The Last Quarter Of 2001 I Have Realized That This Is Common Practice For Best Buy To Deture Consumers From Persuing Their Rebates.
I Have Contacted Best Buy Several Times About This Only To Be Told Simply That I Am "Out Of Luck" Buy Rude Customer Service.
I Have Contacted The Sony Corp And Explained That Best Buy Is Tacking Rebate Offers To Sony Products And Making It Impossible Or (Difficult At Best) To Get The Rebate Therefore Making Their Company (Sony) Look Bad!
Sony Mailed My $150.00 Rebate Plus An Additional $50.00 To Compensate For Best Buy's Incompentance. Good For Sony, Bad For Best Buy! I Have Not Nor Will Ever Shop At Best Buy Again And My Business Is Now Very Much Appreciated At Best Buy's Competetors! (Without The Rebate Ripoff)
