We purchased a $2,500 Sony big screen television in November with an extended CC in house warantee that "paid for itself" and if the tv couldn't be repaired we would get a "brand new" one.
About 6 months ago, we began to have problems with the volume not working, and on occasion, having no picture with volume, or vice versa. I called the CS for the extended warantee. The CSR (though polite), as expected, tried to get out of sending someone out. I was told to unplug the cord and wait about 5 minutes because sometimes the tv needs to "reset". I wasn't thrilled with that explanation, but went along with it because it worked.
It is even worse than before, so I called 1 month ago to schedule a tech to come out. 3 WEEKS until the tech could come out. To tick us off even more, there is ONE tech for our zip code and the surrounding area and he comes out ONLY on Tuesdays! We've ranted and raved to no avail, because my wife is now working outside the home and cannot be here to meet him. They will not schedule later times, nor Saturdays. This is not over yet, but I can tell you we will NEVER EVER purchase ANYTHING from Circuit City again!
