I bought a Panasonic plasma TV from circuit city. I was lured into taking their installation and advantage program for worry free in home repair. They told if you take circuit city installation and advantage program for extended warranty, we come to your home as soon as you call and fix the TV and install they way it was and you do not have to worry. I spent over a thousand dollars in wall mount installation and hundreds more in advantage program.
However, when my plasma TV stopped working in last week of November, they did not send a technician until 13th of November (after 3 weeks almost!!!)
The technician came and he said he will not unmount the tv from wall as it is not his job. After asking him that you need to get whoever would help you with that then he said it is customer's responsibility.
After confronting him with promises and heavy money paid to circuit city for installation, he went away and I am stuck with a broken TV with no idea as to who will repair it and when!
I also called circuit city corporate and customer service as well as store manager and everyone seems to have 'it is not my job or responsibility' attitude.
My appeal to wouldbe shoppers of circuit city is that please read this and think twice before shopping there and getting lured into advantage program.
