My situation is almost exactly like another on this site.
In November I purchased an X2gen 19" LCD monitor at Onsale.com which had a $75 rebate. I promptly submitted the rebate to WoodDale, IL which is X2gen's address.
It is now April 14 and no rebate check has been received. I started calling X2gen over a month ago and they told me I had to contact rebates.com. I had difficulty getting through to rebates.com, and when I finally did I was told that they are in Florida and since the rebate was mailed to WoodDale it was not in their system.
I called back again to X2gen and was told that they only had 1 person doing rebates and were way behind and that mine should be in the next group to be out in the next week. I told them I would call back if nothing came in. I waited over a week and called again to X2gen. I explained my problem and was placed on an extremely long hold.
I hung up and recalled and the person who answered the phone explained that they couldn't help me with any rebate questions and I needed to email [email protected]. I emailed them about 4 days ago and have heard nothing, which is what I believe I will hear in the future. I would encourage all ripped off consumers to flood their telephone line 630-694-1400 such that they understand we are not going away and ripped off.
