X2Gen has been selling LCD's monitors since at least last Fall through several Internet retailers, I got mine through Onsale.com, although others can be found by Googling the manufacturer's name.
I applied for my $75 rebate for a model MG19VT a day after receiving the monitor on 10/5 and never received anything (the paperwork said to expect it in 6-8 weeks, which I carefully filled out attaching all requested material).
The company's website www.x2gen.com has a phone number and when I called it an individual says he only handles sales and all rebate inquiries must be addresses to [email protected]. Great..
I got 2 Email respones from them, 11-14-05 my question, "how can I find out about my rebate status?" response "If you will allow 6-8 weeks for the processing then you will have an email from the rebate submissions team in a few weeks. Thank you for your inquiry x2gen rebate desk". I never received an Email.
I followed up and on 1-3-06 they said "After checking with the rebates desk: This rebate was processed and paid to Mr. We will cancel and re-issue the check after verbal confirmation on Monday. Thank you for your notice. X2gen Service Desk".
I wrote back and asked them to clarify what they meant and got no response. No one ever called me (verbal comment). The seller says its a problem between me and the manufacturer and he can't help me.
I've been ripped off.
