I initiated cellular service with WCW and received my Motorola phone via UPS one week later. I charged the phone per the User Manual and it appeared to work fine for two days. On day three, no power; the phone wouldn't even turn on!
I called the Customer Service number and was transferred to a "Tech" who said it takes 45 days to 'get in the system' whatever that means, but that she would expedite my situation, and in a week I could call back and have a new phone sent to me. My account would be credited, but in the meantime I have no cellular service.
I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said she was it. When I told her that she didn't own the company and had to work for SOMEone, she promptly put me on hold and left me to rot. I called back three more times and got the same story about the replacement phone. I then looked up the nearest store (90 miles away) and offered to go there and switch out the phone. Nothing doing, I'd have to buy a new phone & pay for service.
I called back again, got Christy, who told me that no supervisors were available, it was early in the day and more woud be in later. I said I'd hold, she said she was only allowed to put me on hold for two minutes. Next call, I got a nice young man named Darian and told him to cancel my service. We'll see if it happens, and I'm going to VIGOROUSLY protest paying the cancellation fee. This company is unbelievable!!!
