For Christmas, my family gave me a flat screen TV from Sears. We left it in the box, which lacks any signs of damage, to keep the TV safe during my trip home to North Georgia.
Upon preparing to unload the TV, it was discovered to be cracked and broken inside the box. Sears will not allow it to be exchanged at the local Sears store.
Sears wants me to pay to have this heavy box shipped back to the store where it was purchased, hundreds of miles away. It will cost a small fortune to have the TV shipped, a TV they sold damaged.
Since Sears sold a damaged TV, they should pay to have it shipped or returned locally.
