I acquired DishNetwork's services from 01-06 through 12-02 and it was one of the most horrible experiences I have ever had with a company!
After horrible service & reception, outrageoulsy numbers of phone calls to tech service I decided to discontinue their service. (short 23 days of 1 yr. Evidently) But my last bill said 12th month. My last phone call with them was because my father-in-law moved in with us after being diagnosed with cancer. All he does is watch TV & couldn't! It was a big enough adjustment moving out of his home and moving in with us. An adjustment for us as well, and I could take no more! Prior to this decision I had been on the phone with for a two month time frame with calls lasting over an hr. & no problem resolved.
I finally asked what did I need to do to discontinue their service & they informed me on how to disassemble the equipment & return. They also told me not to pay the last bill because I had a credit. I called 2 times to check on this and they kept telling me -0- balance! Now,
two months later I get a call from a lawyer representing Tri-State Satellite who was the installer, suing me for $750.00 for not fullfilling a one yr. Contract. Now, Tri-State had DishNetwork written all over their paperwork. Any phone calls I made was to dish. Who wouldn't think they were one in the same. VERY MISLEADING! Dish needs to be responsible for knowing the policies of the companies installing for them so that when you call the only customer service # you know, then you are not misinformed in anyway! I work for a business that does UPS shipping & I couldn't begin to tell you how many get sent out in a weeks time. Dish is truly losing business in our area. They should check on how companies are representing them! I work hard & honestly for my money and feel they should too!
