I had a Dish Network account for 4 years. Upon cancelling my account, I started receiving collection calls from dishnetwork regarding a $12.96 charge for an intangible service that I did not authorize. The charge was supposedly for allowing me to re-activate my account at no charge! I repeatedly told Dish Network customer service representatives that I did NOT autorize this and would not pay it. I have also tried to contact someone in management with dishnetwork - they are fully automated on customer service (No way to talk with another person).
Recently Dish Network turned my account over to E R Solutions (a collection agency), so daily phone calls are pouring in. I have sent for a copy of my credit report and fully intend to retain my attorney's services if my credit rating has been damaged.
Whatever you do people, STAY AWAY from dishnetwork!!!
