Xbox live gamertag fraud and fund stealing Ripoff

I will attempt to remain civil.

Bought my Xbox on day 1. Took it home and immediately set up Xbox Live. I have a valid credit card (yadda yadda). I was able to connect to Xbox Live right away. I played my unit Tuesday and Wednesday. I left for my GF's for Thanksgiving. Came home early Friday morning and...

I turn on my Xbox. It tries to auto login to Live. It prompts my dashboard informing me that my subscription has been suspended due to a problem with my payment meathod. (the card is in my name, active, with available credit, and I have used it after paying for my first month of Live previous to today) It encouraged me to goto my account management page to update my info.

I proceed to my Xbox Live account management section of the 360's dashboard. I try to modify my account info, and the Xbox says that I must be logged into Xbox Live in order to modify my account info. I try, yet again, to log into Live. Same result. So I go back to the account management page hoping for a different result. (must have been insane to expect that). Same problem.

I then decide to try to recover my gamer tag. (I'm thinking maybe there is an issue with my.net info) When I do this, it logs my info into the Xbox as an address that I was using almost 4 years ago. (when I originally obtained a.net passport account) I go back into the dashboard to change my info BACK to the original info that I entered in day 1. (you have to have EXACT info for credit card billing purposes) I try step 1 again. Same Problem.

Meanwhile... I am trying to play my games, and my inability to log into Live is messing with my gamer profile in NFS. I do find an work around to get into the game and still play, just not using Live to post my progress.

I try tonight, again, to fix the problem. I tried step 1 and 2 first. Maybe, I am an idiot, and I did something wrong the first time. Nope, at least im just insane, not stupid. Same problem.

This time, I log on to my home computer. I goto account management through.net services. I check the account billing page within.net. Low and behold, there is my Xbox live membership listed, with the correct card number and expiration date. Credit Status: GOOD. Account Balance: $0.00.

Now, I am frustrated, and a bit angry.

So, i find the account cancelation link. I click it. And it says that I have to contact Xbox Live support to cancel. WOOT! I at least to now speak to a Live (no pun intended) person.

I call the 800 number. I wait for 35 minutes before I speak to a person. I explain the entire problem to him. He is very helpful and apologetic. He assures me that he is logging all the info into a Live trouble ticket. (the number which later was given to me) He informs me that his last caller was experiencing the same problem, and that he was not aware of any fix currently for "our" problem. He then informed me that he was going to transfer me to his supervisor for further assistance.

Reluctantly, I agreed. I have now been on the phone for over an Hour. I wait for another 20 minutes before the next person picks up the phone. I give this man my name... And he asks me what he can do to help.

(I assume that he has no idea what is going on, as he does not paraphrase any of my previous issues to me for clarification) I ask him straight away if he is a Supervisor, and with a slight pause, he agrees. I end up giving him the "condensed" version of the story I was assured would be explicitly noted on my ticket. He asks me to hold while he checks on my billing.

I agree, yet again, to be put on hold. 5 minutes later, i hear a "CLICK" and then the call disconnects. 1hr. 45 min. And no resolution.

To add insult to injury... Now when I log onto my Xbox, my NFS alias, is GONE! Granted I have only defeated the first 3 on the blacklist, but cmon... What is going on.

This was the letter that I used on the Xbox forums. There is an entire thread in their technical support forum with many others with the same problem, all of whom have no resolution.

It has been 1 month and no solution.
