I got ripped off from Best buy in Merced, CA. I went to the audio dept. To get some speakers and a subwoofer I bought installed which was $150.00. So on that day I dropped off my car and returned later that night to pay the bill. The guy who checked me out said he noticed a small crack on my rear inside panel. I said I'ver never seen it and if it was small I didnt care. So I paid and even got a small discount as well and left.

I go to check out if everything was ok. I am blown away to notice a huge crack in my rear panel!!! And my ABS light is on on my dash board. I just bought the car a week ago this is a 2002 Honda Civic and I know the light was never on and I would have noticed if there was a crack on my rear panel.

I immediately go back and tell the guy who comes to take a look at it. He then tells me he could have done it but wasnt sure and will write a claim on it if I want. I go in a few days later to meet him and fill out a claim report. I had to go to the Honda dealership to get a price on the part, return to Best Buy, they give me cash and I go back to Honda and place an order with Honda for them to order and install a new rear panel which was like $100 something bucks and reset the ABS light. I informed Honda that it was due to a claim bescause of poor service at Best Buy. Okay so a week goes by Honda gets the part and I drop off my car over there and later return. Honda hasnt even got started on it but an hr later comes to me and says that there was a wire that was cut near the speaker wires and that thats whats causing the ABS light to come on it wasnt going to be covered under warranty and would cost me (I dont remmeber but around $75-$100).

So Im furious, I call Best Buy up right then and there and talked to a manager named Shawn. Shawn tells me to have Honda fix it and bring me a receipt. So I pay for them to put a new wire in from my own pocket and go to Best Buy with the receipt for the new wire. I explain everything to this snotty female manager and she gives me additude stating that they already paid me for the claim and that I signed a paper saying the claim was over and they would not pay for the wire. At that point Im pi*ed off telling them they are the ones who messed up and should pay for it. I tell her I want to talk to their corporate managers and she tells me to call 1800bestbuy if i wanted to. So I take off and call 1800bestbuy and talked to some corporate managers and explained the situation day after day. I get a negative and totally rude response in return from all of them stating they cant do anything since the claim was paid out and they are not reliable. They even 3wayed me with the manager at the Best Buy store I was at telling me their BS. I simply tell them I was going to get a lawyer and hang up.

I got ripped off big time by Best Buy. There employess cut my wire which made the ABS light to come on my dash. True, they paid for a new panel and Honda put it in. But when other problems were found they did not claim responsibilites. I dont care if I signed that claim paper. They should be responsible for everything they damaged.

I had to pay for something Best Buy caused what a RIP OFF!!!
