Sold cable box, never delivered, asked for payment by bank check over phone. Ripoff!

The website offered cable TV boxes. I ordered one and Dave called me and asked for my payment by check to save $50. I gave my check info to him and a check for $250. Was created and cashed by him August 19. I have phoned and emailed dozens of times the past 6 months with no results.
