Circuit City Warranties what a joke...
I used to work there I know what you guys are saying... in their defense I bought a 3 year contract and after 11 months my tv was defective and they gave me a new tv. Unfortunately, the warranty does not cover the new tv... Circuit City made it clear the warranty is for what ever happens first we still your money cause in 3 years you needed no repairs. Or we will replace your tv but you have to buy a new warranty...
A little comparison with Circuit City and a competitor...
They both sell Ipods...
At Circuit City 1 year Warranty is well over $65 at radio shack the warranty is less than $30
At the competitor you take your Ipod and can give it to the store and they will trade it for a new one flat out. Circuit City sends it to repairs deletes all your songs and makes you wait. Finally when they replace it the warranty is over. At the competitor your warranty carries on to your new Ipod AND covers Accessories...
Circuit City charging more providing less. Let me ask you Circuit City with that extra $35 in cheese if you are providing less service where does that money go?

Hey to save me time dont post you strongly believe in City Advantage or you have been their 20 years and would die trying to help customers with City Advantage.
I know the Circuit City employees are great people just trying to make a living - I was one of them. I am not attack you the employees of circuit city I am attacking City Advantage.
In any instance where a company makes so much money off the customers is wrong. 66% guaranteed profit if you never get a repair 100% profit. Its wrong to charge 20% the cost of an item for a 3 year warranty. You can buy monthly insurance on your product for less money!!!
Whether or not you buy at circuit city is up to you. The employees are normally better then other stores, but dont buy City Advantage. Simple economics the costs outweight the benefits. $600 for a laptop after rebates is an awesome deal, $300 for the 4 year city advantage on that laptop please, thats $200 pure profit you are giving Circuit City on that purchase no wonder they want employees to sell that!
Circuit City lower your prices on City Advantage and I will update my post. When the competitor sells a warranty for similar products for half your price and at times delivers arguably better "customer service" tell me one good reason why I should purchase city advantage.
