Shortley after being unemployed in early I put thought to pursue a career in the law enforcement field. I kept seeing the "college of legal arts" comercials on tv so I made the decision to enroll for the Correctional Officer classes. While enrolling, I was promised help in finding employment in the field of corrections during and after my completion. I was also informed that the school had an 80 percent job placement. I knew then that I was at the right place.
I proceeded through the program and graduated in December. I had been rewarded awards in my grade point average being 3.5 and above, perfect attendance, class leader and improvement in my physical agility along with my certificate. After two years I have not yet found a job in the correctional field nor do I know of anyone who were my class mates who have got into the correctional field.
I have called the school and have went to the school several times to further pursue the help that I needed and was promised to be a part of that "80 percent" of the suposed employable. I have yet to recieve any offers of guidance I had been promised. Now I am stuck with a large bill and working two jobs in attempt to get it payed off while supporting my family. Now when I see the comercials for Sumner College I notice that the people are the same that they have been for the past four years. So all and all, Don't believe the promises they tell you.
