I graduated from UEI College's Medical Assisting program in 2012. I was promised job placement assistance and a promising future in a high demand field. Upon completion of the program and my externship I was contacted a total of two times. I had reached out to the college for assistance but was only told I would have my resume forwarded to prospective employers. After that, no word from the school. No help or resources at all. Now I am over $9,000.00 in debt and have been out of school for over a year and a half. I was actively searching for work and continue to do so now on my own but without success. They had me pay $110 monthly while I was enrolled aside from my $10,000 federal loan that would proceed 6mos after graduation. They were a complete waste of time and money. My main reason for attending was the promise of job placement assistance which I never got. Out of 30 students in my class only one was able to get a job and keep it. The job started them a dollar over minimum wage. I think this school should be shut down so there aren't anymore students who are taken advantage of and thrown into an unnecessary debt. All the students should be reimbursed because this school is clearly a scam. They prey on the desperate, vulnerable students trying to better themselves. No integrity in this world!
