I was going to attend a school and got a loan through Sallie Mae! Big mistake! The school told me they were a great company to go through! Ha! Had I been smart enough to read these lovely reviews on here I would have never done so! Anyways I ended up switching colleges and the school told me the money was sent back to sallie mae, however, me and my husband kept getting phone calls, emails and letters saying they had not received any funds! So thinking this was the college who screwed up we called them they told us Sallie mae had received all funds back and they have a delay in their system! We would try and call sallie mae they would give me and my husband different stories as to what was going on or they would just hang up on us! It's been three months we finally got ahold of a copy of the check that sallie mae had signed 3 months ago!!! So very annoyed from being harassed for three months my husband called sallie mae and demanded to speak with a supervisor "she" was totally rude and said they showed nothing had been paid when we had the check right in front of us! She said they were not the correct department and that we had to call the school again!!! Why!!! We did everything! WE have to call school monday and try and figure this out all because Sallie Mae does not keep up on their records or something? Everytime I would ask this supervisor why no one would give us a correct answer on what to do she had nothing to say! And their customer service is horrible been hung up on millions of times and WE OWE NOTHING TO THEM! I'm thinking lawsuit to shut them Down!
