Online Admissions Advisor lied to me, misled me, supervisors don't care

I applied to UOP for the Masters of Education and teacher credentialing program. I have already taught a number of years in another state, but needed to get recertified. I consider myself an intelligent person, but I do not have much software experience, and I told my advisor Frank Mazza this. I told him I bought a new computer and it had Microsoft Works instead of Word. He told me not to worry, that it would work just fine. He told me everything was fine and that the instructor would work with me on any problems I had. Well, the program would not work with Works, the supervisor refused to believe that Frank Mazza had told me this.

The instructor was so mad she told me I could not finish the course. I didn't have powerpoint, either, and he told me not to worry about it. Which was a lie.in the end, I wasn't even alowed to finish the course, I wasn't allowed to withdraw from it, so I owe the school 430.00 for nothing - and that doesn't include the 100.00 app. Fee, the 36.00 book, paper, ink cartridges (I had to print out 225 pages) or my time.

Frank was extremely rude with me as soon as he had me signed up and in the class. The other person was right - he was like the worst kind of used car salesman, and I told him so. I had trusted him, and it was a terrible, costly mistake.

He told me UOP never gets any complaints or has problems with student satisfaction - I am so glad I found this website. I live in a remote area of Montana, too far from a physical university. But I plan to continue with WGU.

They have no complaints against them, are much cheaper, and very honest and upfront about everything. It does seem like the staff at UOP is very young and extremely rude. These same people would be fired for treating customers like this at McDonalds or Wal Mart. My experience with UOP is that it is a rip-off and a sham. I will cheer the day they go down, because it WILL happen! Thanks.
