Falsifying - misleading - disappointing / misinformed by enrollment advisor - 30000.00 later nothing to show for it - but a piece of paper ripoff phoenix arizona

I attended and graduated from the university of phoenix.

Initially - i enrolled into the program in oct. My enrollment advisor at the time was michael shrag. He convinced me, that due to the fact the the school is accredited, then the programs are accepted through the state of arizona. Which ment that if arizona accepts the program - it is accepted in any state in the us.

I made myself clear that i wanted to teach in ny. The advisor told me that i am reponsible for my certification in my state.

So 37 credits, $30,000.00, forty days of student teaching (pregnant), 2 nys teacher certification exams and 2 workshops later - i am ready to start my wonderful career. All i need for my final licensing - is a letter from the university of phoenix stating that the program i completed is certifiable. So i call my new advisor - because my original advisor michael shrag-conveniently - got fired. Now i am talking to a girl - named shannon bell. She says - i am sorry i cannot give you a letter that says that the early childhood edu. Program is certifiable. Why not? I say - it is an accredited school and i was told because it is accredited the programs are certifiable.

Nope - sorry? Then she tells me that she has proof that i was aware that i am responsible for my own certification. Yes - that is true but i am not responsible for the legitimacy of the program that i was directed into.

After extensive research i have found a lawsuit against the university of phoenix for allowing enrollment advisors to do whatever they can to get the student into the program. - once the student is accepted the enrollment advisor got incentives.

I am a victim to this. My advisor absolutely told me that the school is legitimate and that the ech masters program leads to licensure.

I cannot allow these people to get away with 30000.00. The federal government should protect us for schools like uop. Now i have a gigantic student loan bill and nothing to show for it but a piece of useless paper.

I want to file a class action suit!!! I am thinking of getting the news involved!
