Enlightened Wealth Institute, EWI, Robert Allen
Real Estate Trading Scam

Mr. Allen's invitations to his 90 day one-on-one specified.."I, with the help of my team, will mentor you in the areas of Real Estate investment, Internet Marketing, Stock Trading and Infopreneuring...". I attended. I was very impressed and was mesmerized by Mr. Allen's presentation and even met him in person, so I signed the training program. No such training occurred.

Despite the fact we were allegedly being given the tools for success and trained by the real estate guru; we were given no "training" in real estate auctions which is a dynamic force in the market. Ignoring market forces is not training it is disabling. We didn't evaluate property taxes, property management, lenders, obtaining repair estimates, commercial liability insurance, or legal aspects of commercial real estate ownership. We were not properly prepared for the real estate investment environment thus we would likely fail were we to rely upon our training to invest. We were fair to our trainer Gary giving him the entire 3 days of the camp to prepare us to invest. We believe EWI failed us. We lost our valuable time, money, and opportunity to earn for the time we were in the boot camp. To continue with this kind of training would result in the opposite result of the gains I had signed up for.

My guest was accepted to attend the Las Vegas "training" evidenced by Larson's email that it was okay as long as my guest signed the disclaimer which Larson sent my guest and my guest faxed it back to Larson on 5/15/08. Both document and fax receipt are on file and could be provided if needed.

Gary's exact statement was that he was not advised that my guest was coming but that we could join. However he claimed the van accommodates only 7 so one of us had to drive our own vehicle. There were only 4 trainees, a lady whom we thought was also a trainee turned out to be an asst. To Gary, we learned at the last meeting. So if she was not in the party, there would have been 6 trainees and Gary= 7.

There was no training in transit. My guest joined the group in the van, with an open phone to me in his car, to catch any training discussions. None occurred. Much of the discussion was how to get to the destinations since Gary could not get his direction finder to function well nor did he have any local map to help. We provided Thomas Guide Map and Auto Club map, and the direction finder in my car. It was a group decision to follow my car since we were wasting so much time finding the destinations. Since there was no training in transit, my guest rejoined me in my car.

The real estate offices our group did stop in at seemed to not expect us and had no idea we were coming. The trip, as a whole, did not appear to be adequately planned out by EWI.

Throughout the period in Las Vegas we asked Gary at the end of the day if he was going to discuss anything so we could rejoin the group. (apparently the trainees had different lodging accommodations.) None was given us. On the three days spent mainly on looking at properties, only two were assigned to us, one was not accessible, the other we did not know until the last day therefore we did not have the chance to inspect it properly. The other trainees were given four or five each, and knew them before going to the property views. So the three days, we spent looking at properties not even related to us. We could have spent with any realtor and viewing auction properties on our own, which we did after the "training" period, and it was much more fruitful than the "training".

The after effect of the driving to all those properties for no benefit to us, did cause and aggravate my physical problems which resulted in uncalled-for additional expenses, pain and suffering.

It seems that their audacity to collect "training" fees and further threaten for a continuance of such fraudulent services does not fit the impressions that Mr. Allen gave us. We have recently learned that other institutes under Mr. Allen also offer similar solicitations for training or institutes. We certainly hope such solicitations do not provide the same fraudulent claims that we experienced.

I wrote to EWI and requested that they void the contract I was induced to sign. EWI refused to void the contract or even discuss any sort of remedy to the problems we encountered at their "training" trip.in addition, EWI also refused to complete the training course that I had signed up for and when I decided (and informed them) that I would not continue to pay for a course which they refused to complete they attacked my credit.in the end, I paid them for the course they refused to complete simply to protect my credit, which ended up being a mistake as EWI's payment company, Conrad Acceptance, still reported to the credit bureaus that I hadn't paid. I can't get my credit cleaned up even though I paid them.
