This is a rip off/complaint,
I have been shopping at this particular store for the past five years. I purchased a scanner for my computer 199.99. When I got it home it had no power cord or software in the box so I boxed iit up and took it back to the store all within a 20 minute period. I showed them the problem and asked for an exchange.
First of all the staff there are rude. I mean rude-rude-rude the lady at the service desk gave me nothing but attitude, but finally she agreed to exchange it for another one.
Before I left I went to the jewelry counter to look at the diamonds. I was wanting to pick something up for my fiance. They had a 1ct diamond ring for $159.99. I asked the lady if I could see it.
After giving me attitude she finally showed it to me. I asked her why it was so inexpensive and she told me it was on sale until the next day. So i decided to wait on the ring. I got home opened the scanner box and the glass on the scanner was cracked all the way down. I boxed it up and took it back immediately.
The lady at the service desk was a total cow. They did'nt have another one to exchange it with. She told me that I could get a different scanner but she couldn't give me a refund. I had my reciept, it had only been about an hour since the original purchase so, I asked for a manager.
Finally after about thirty minutes he arrived. His name was Mr. Hammentree. He gave me some ridiculious policy about returning the same item twice. I got so angry I got another scanner 219.99 and paid the difference.
As i was leaving I decided to get that ring for my fiancee. I went to the jewelry counter and Miss Oscar the Grouch remembered me. She got the ring out and proceeded to ring it up. She kept talking about how many she had sold since they went on sale. The register kept ringing it up at $299.99. She told me it had done that every since they put it on sale and she needed an override.
She called for a CSM. Mr. Hammontree came she explained that she needed an override and told him they needed to fix that price in the register. He looked at me then down at the jewelry case and came off with this crap that it was a different ring not the one on sale. She told him no that it was the right ring. He finally and basically told her to shut up and told me he couldn't let me have it for the sale price.
I showed him the case which had two of the same rings in it clearly marked 159.99. He told me it was a mistake. At this point I was furious I told him I knew it was on sale and demanded the ring. He totally refused. I told him I thought wal-mart had a policy even if an item was marked wrong the customer got the item for that price. He said no and that he wasn't going to discuss it any further.
I left with flames shooting out my ears. The next day I called the main manager and told him the events that had happened. He apoligized and said I was right on all points. I asked him if I could come get the ring at the sale price. He agreed. I went back same lady was working. She got the ring out rung it up and called for a manager. Guess who! I told him I had called Jim the main manager and told him waht he said. He told me jim had a talk with him before he left. He then told me the sale was off and I could'nt have it at the sale price. I explained what jim said and he replied jim's not here this is my shift/store now.
Well one can imagine what I said next. I think I called him every name in the book and then some.in closing that wal mart is a joke and i will never shop there again. I will also make it a point to discourage other people from shopping there too. Rude-rip off-retards
